GOOD TO KNOW: In order to get married legally at a ‘Mairie’ or town hall in France, you need to be a resident of the commune in which you would like to marry for at least 40 days. However, you can get married in a Catholic or Protestant church without being a resident of Nice, but you will need to show proof that you are already legally married to do so.
